How content creators can monetize their content
If you attended Manish’s first #StreamAliveShowcase workshop on how to build an online audience, you don’t want to miss this follow-up session: How to make money from your content.
Manish is a sought-after brand consultant, social media evangelist, and mentor to new-age digital brands and India’s most popular content creators. He’s coached hundreds of creators and helped them on their journey to turn their passions into full-time income streams.
“There is no one better than Manish…to give us a glimpse of the creators' world.”
Arunabh Kumar, Founder, TVF
For our showcase event, Manish has promised to share the content monetization playbook he uses when he coaches India’s biggest content creators.
In 60-minutes, Manish is going to teach us:
How to monetize the content you work hard to create
Turn your passion for content creation into a full-time income stream
The entrepreneur mindset that every content creator needs
A content creation reality check and the hard, dark truths that are not spoken about

Upload images as slides
We’ve recently added a small but very useful addition to the presentation capabilities. Earlier you could upload your slides as PowerPoint, Keynote, or PDF files.
Now you can import individual images for your slide with each image on its own slide.
Once you’ve uploaded your image(s), select the ones you want to add.
All your images will be added as slides. You can see a preview of the slide on the left-hand side of the Presentation creation page within the app.
There are no dimension requirements for the images we upload, but we recommend a standard 16:9 or 4:3 aspect ratio, similar to your presentation slides.
This virtual event engagement tip is the exact opposite of what the experts say you should do
“I can’t believe I’m going to say this, but turn your cameras off, everybody.”
John Chen, on our recent StreamAlive workshop
Ryan Clover shared a nice tip in our recent workshop with John Chen to help your audience feel more connected to each other.
Oddly, it starts by asking everyone to turn their cameras OFF.
The opposite of what most meeting experts recommend. John Chen almost did a double-take!
Ryan then asked some questions and told people to TURN ON their camera if the question applied to them:
Who here is a caregiver to children?
Who here still lives in their hometown?
Who here has travel plans within the next month?
Ryan says it helps people feel seen in unique ways and shows attendees as people instead of virtual heads in a little square box.
He also believes it helps to dispel assumptions that people tend to make and show that you have more in common with a virtual stranger than you might think.
We tried this activity in our workshop, and it truly was a beautiful way to connect with your attendees.
What we’ve been reading
This week we’ve been obsessing over Lenny Rachitsky’s latest newsletter which features Kyle Poyar talking about Product-Led Growth.
Quick background: Product-led growth means your product has an inherent virality to it so that when people use it they can’t help but share it with others. As a result you don’t need to do a lot of traditional sales and marketing to get people to use your product.
We strongly believe that StreamAlive will follow a product-led growth trajectory as the more people that use it, the more people will see it, which encourages them to use it as well.
It’s like a machine that just keeps on growing.
One of the big drivers of product-led growth that Kyle talks about is Templates.
You need to make it ridiculously easy for your new users to get up and running with your product and templates are a way to do that.
If you’re new to StreamAlive, you may have noticed that we’ve made Templates a big part of our on-boarding process and presentation creation process.
Templates contain pre-defined questions related to the topic the presentation is about.
So if you choose the virtual graduation template, it has questions about where you plan to move to after graduation, what’s one piece of advice you’d give to future students, and share what you are most excited about after graduating.
If you choose the town hall template, it will contain questions relevant to a company town hall.
Templates help you plan your presentations faster and take some of the mental load off trying to come up with your own questions.
