What 2023 looked like for StreamAlive
The latest news from StreamAlive and the world of online, offline, and hybrid live events.
Hi there!
It was a big year for StreamAlive and we’d like to thank every one of you for being a part of our journey 🙏
Whether you’re a regular user of StreamAlive or came along to one of our #StreamAliveShowcase events, we really appreciate your support.
After “5-star dominated” launches on Product Hunt and AppSumo last year, it was time to build on those successes.
Here’s how 2023 looked for StreamAlive, by the numbers…
5 eye-popping StreamAlive stats from 2023
70 - Number of updates we made to the app - more than one a week!
4,404 - That’s how many live sessions featured StreamAlive
17,854 - The number of audience interactions that were run
49,710 - The number of people that engaged with an audience interaction
309,276 - The number of comments logged by StreamAlive
5 most popular audience interactions
Power Polls - 45,475 interactions
Wonder Words - 40,019 interactions
Emojis Everywhere - 22,015 interactions
Magic Maps - 18,620 interactions
Transient Thoughts - 11,179 interactions
Those are some big numbers and we’re proud of what we achieved this year. But when we send a round-up newsletter this time next year, we want to be able to show 10x those numbers.
(…with the exception of the product updates, our developers would quit if we asked them to update the app 13 times a week!).
If you haven’t used StreamAlive yet, make it your New Year’s resolution to inject fun into your next live session.

The Slide-Streaming & Livestreaming TL;DR
It’s been a busy week in the world of livestreaming and slide-streaming. Here’s a rundown of the stories we’ve been reading:
🎤9.6 million people tuned in to TikTok’s first livestream concert
In the future, you might be attending your favorite artist’s concerts virtually, especially when music execs see the numbers from TikTok’s latest livestream. This was a hybrid concert with 17,000 people attending in person, 9.6m watching on TikTok and 33.5m watching it on other platforms.
Most of us have no idea what goes on inside an art auction house. Most of us don’t have the money to spend hundreds of thousands on a painting. Still, there is a growing trend of art auctions being livestreamed on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok - and 99% of us are loving it!
Is Kick going to be the Twitch-killer that audiences and creators alike flock to? It has been accused of having lax moderation and encouraging gambling, but that hasn’t stopped its stratospheric rise. Given the exodus of advertisers on X, Kick might need that gambling revenue as an alternative to generating money from ads.
